Job Description

The Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education provides Continuing Medical Education (CME) for the Cleveland Clinic enterprise and on a global scale, including live courses, web-based offerings, performance improvement and quality improvement activities that require accreditation. The Center oversees the regulatory requirements of the American Medical Association, Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Joint Accreditation, and Maintenance of Certification for select American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Boards. This position provides administrative support and accreditation oversight in the development, implementation and administration of education programs throughout the enterprise. Duties include, but are not limited to, review of educational materials, maintenance of records and evaluations, support for department processes, and collaboration with other team members and stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure quality and compliance of educational programs.

This is currently a work from home position, but must be available to come onsite on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the design, development, implementation, modification, and evaluation of accredited education programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of ACCME, ABMS, Joint Accreditation, CCF Educational requirements and policies
  • Trains stakeholders on accreditation requirements and processes.
  • Oversees and coordinates the accreditation process, including the review of educational programs and materials, record keeping, documentation, and audits
  • Participates in activities to improve operational practices and procedures.
  • Provides administrative support and manages special projects at the direction of supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, education or related field preferred.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have good time management skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Experience:

  • Three years of related experience, including at least one year of leading or coordinating projects, operations, or educational meetings;
  • Prior experience providing administrative support; overseeing policy and process implementation preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree may offset up two years of required experience.
  • Experience with regulatory policies and procedures in any industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of educational accreditation policies and procedures in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and oversee a multitude of activities and functions.
  • Proficient with using computers and software, comfortable learning new systems.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and marketing principles preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity sufficient to operate a personal computer in the course of work.
  • Normal or corrected vision.
  • Extensive sitting and frequent walking.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of 5 to 15 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $17.25

Maximum hourly: $26.31
