Position Description:

The University of Louisville Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, annually renewable, non-tenure track position with an anticipated start date of August 2024. The initial appointment would be for one year with the possibility of renewal, contingent on work performance and college budget. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.


The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Communication or a related field prior to appointment and will have demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate core courses, especially in oral communication and strategic communication courses. In addition to teaching experience, the successful candidate will also have a record of professional social media experience. An interest in professional and institutional service is required given that this position also involves managing the department’s social media presences and our departmental newsletter. Professional experience in a communication industry is a plus.
