What You Will Achieve

The Enterprise Platforms organization delivers the following capabilities for Pfizer. Business application platforms supporting Pfizer’s enterprise application and critical business processes. Infrastructure allowing business traffic to travel where it needs to go, internally and externally, along with the appropriate access controls. EP&S secures Pfizer's most important information assets through world class controls and protections and enables Pfizer's business results by making security an enabler and not a roadblock to achieving business results.

As part of Infrastructure Monitoring Services team, the Monitoring Solutions Lead is accountable for the management of capabilities that revolve around monitoring the health of Pfizer’s IT infrastructure and applications and providing actionable insights to recipients of events. The role is responsible for leading the product vision and direction of Infrastructure and Application monitoring solutions by defining, creating, and executing the product roadmap. The ideal candidate will partner across infrastructure and application teams to assess next generation capabilities to evolve the current device-based approach of monitoring, to a more data-driven and business-process centric perspective providing operational, SRE and other Digital stakeholders with real-time, business process-focused service health data, allowing them to navigate complexity to deliver superior service outcomes. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This leader will play a significant role in shaping how EP&S evolves these centralized technologies to drive optimization and automation.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Lead the product vision and direction of monitoring solutions, specifically Dynatrace, by defining, creating and executing the product roadmap.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to expand on existing, and deliver new, monitoring capabilities and keep customers up to date on product status, key issues, and launch plans.

  • Define product requirements and prioritize feature implementations by translating customer and business needs into product requirements, prioritizing product features based on impact and value, and managing the product backlog. The role also ensures alignment of product strategy with company's strategic objectives

  • Lead and mentor a team of monitoring tool product managers by managing, coaching, and developing the support team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The role also oversees the performance management, including setting objectives, conducting reviews, and developing improvement plans.

  • Manage day-to day operations of current solutions and ongoing work activity of monitoring support team.

  • Define and manage product budgets and continuously evolve pricing models to ensure accurate communication of costs as an input to budgeting processes and execution of charge backs.

  • Stay on top of industry trends and competitive landscape by staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in the industry and the market.

  • Monitor and analyze the product performance and customer satisfaction, and makes necessary adjustments to ensure the product remains relevant

  • Provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle, including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable services and infrastructure.

  • Be part of a team engaged in implementing ServiceNow ITOM capabilities by bringing expertise in the area of Event Management aggregation and correlation.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering.

  • 7+years of Technical expertise and operational in technical/infrastructure operations, with a focus on product ownership and management.

  • 5+ years’ experience operating/managing monitoring solutions, including demonstrated experience with the Dynatrace platform and its capabilities.

  • Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a “matrix” organizational environment, transcending organizational boundaries, while leading change and delivering innovative solutions to the business.

  • Programming or software development/engineering experience using any structured or object-oriented language such as Java, Perl, Python

  • Experience with developing data pipelines using vendor provided libraries or open interfaces through API such as REST, RabbitMQ, etc.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with ServiceNow components such as Event Management a plus

  • Experience with developing data pipelines using vendor provided libraries or open interfaces through API such as REST, RabbitMQ, etc.

  • Experience with source code version control systems

  • Working experience with AWS technologies in context of Application performance monitoring
