Financial Analyst I, II II & Senior Financial Analyst

This is an application for Financial Analyst I, II, III and Senior Financial Analyst roles within Cleveland Clinic’s Financial Operations and Planning Department. Analysts will be placed primarily in one area but will operate in a matrixed role where there is access and project/operational work in each of the areas throughout the department. The goal is to develop well-rounded caregivers who will develop into future finance leaders within the organization. Future caregivers may work at any of our Northeast Ohio locations and work in a remote or hybrid model.

A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Support core financial processes including the annual operating budget, long range financial forecast and month-end close activities.

  • Complete project-based work supporting organizational initiatives, performance improvement, capital budgeting, strategic business planning and mergers and acquisitions.

  • Prepare, analyze and communicate key financial information and provide support to management and other caregivers regarding financial reporting and other related issues.

  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes and budget review for compliance and opportunities.

  • Serve as consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.

  • Complete special projects and duties including providing necessary research, forecasting and conflict resolution.


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Residence in the greater Northeast Ohio area.

  • Awareness of complex key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development.

  • Ability to complete basic analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation.


Financial Analyst I:

  • High school diploma/GED and four years of experience OR an associate’s degree and two years of experience.

  • One year of accounting, finance, healthcare, investment banking or management consulting experience preferred.


Financial Analyst II:

  • High school diploma/GED and six years of experience in financial or revenue cycle management or general analytics OR an associate’s degree and four years of experience OR a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience OR a master’s degree and one year of experience.

  • Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may substitute one year of required experience.


Financial Analyst III:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in financial or revenue cycle management or general analytics OR a master’s degree and two years of related experience.

  • Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may substitute one year of required experience.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.


Senior Financial Analyst I:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in financial or revenue cycle management or general analytics OR a master’s degree and three years of related experience.

  • Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may substitute one year of required experience.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.

  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $20.77

Maximum hourly: $31.68

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
