In the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers.

A caregiver in this position works Evenings, from 3:00pm—11:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform receptionist and clerical duties.

• Receive, greet, and direct patients, visitors, and caregivers.

• Receive, place and transfer telephone calls and record, communicate and deliver messages.

• Respond to service and information requests.

• Remain calm and reassuring while providing directions during emergency situations, STAT requests, and orders.

• Receive and distribute items for patients.

• File reports and test results, maintain medical records, and prepare charts for medical records upon discharge.

• Transcribe physician orders.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Previous clerical experience.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
