We are seeking a full-time psychologist with expertise in treatment of patients with gastrointestinal disorders.Appointment will be a combined 1.0 FTE with University of Louisville School of Medicine, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry & Psychology, affiliated with the Norton Children’s Medical Group.
Primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating children/adolescents with GI disorders and their families primarily in an outpatient integrated care setting. May also provide services at times in an inpatient medical setting for youth admitted for medical stabilization. Responsibilities also include assisting in further developing programs; implementing empirically-based treatment modalities; and serving as a consultant to Norton Healthcare medical staff.
This position offers the opportunity to participate in program development related to possible services available to gastrointestinal disorders. The psychologist may also be involved with training psychology residents in our APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology, as well as educating child psychiatry residents, psychiatry residents, and medical students. While the position is primarily clinical in focus, the faculty member will have opportunities for research and clinical innovation.
Applicants must have:
Doctorate in psychologyfrom an APA-accredited graduate program
Completed an APA-accredited internship
Completed a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology
Expertise in providing evidence-based treatment for gastrointestinal disorders
License-eligible in the state of Kentucky
