The University of Louisville School of Nursing is seeking an Admissions Counselor I. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and participate in recruitment activities and student admissions. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the offices of Admissions, both undergraduate and graduate, to facilitate the admissions and application process. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, presentation, computer, and people skills. This position requires some evening and weekend hours and some travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and participate in recruitment events such as visit high schools, campus visit programs, one-on-one visits, counselor partnerships, hospitals, community colleges, and other admissions events. Create and host information sessions for all programs. Advises and conducts tours for prospective students and their families. Manage recruitment plan and materials. Build relationships with appropriate partners and community-based organizations through travel and ongoing communication. Answer inquiries from potential students regarding all programs. Provide general information regarding admission requirements and program information. Offer admissions counseling to students/families. Explain to undergraduate and graduate prospective students the admissions requirements and the application process for the nursing degree programs. Guide applicants through the admissions process for undergraduate and graduate programs. Manage transfer credit process and equivalencies for second degree and graduate programs. Utilize admission platforms for undergraduate and graduate programs (Slate, Nursing CAS, Peoplesoft).
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of recruitment or related experience.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$27.85Target Compensation Minimum:
$18.56Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
