The Computer Science and Engineering Department (CSE) is seeking an Administrative Assistant I. This part-time position reports directly to the department chair of Computer Science and Engineering to support communication and administrative assistance needs of the department. This work includes developing and maintaining social network for CSE, producing high-quality newsletter and videos, designing and producing promotional materials, collecting and presenting data, involving in other forms of communication, coordinating daily departmental operations, and scheduling departmental events and administrative support for the CSE Department.
The ideal candidate would have a mature, demonstrable portfolio of digital and print work products that can be verified. Be a self-driven and growth-oriented learner who can quickly adapt to new and evolving communication and administrative requirements of the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the department chair, faculty, and staff of Computer Science and Engineering to perform various office functions and to schedule, coordinate, and support departmental activities such as faculty meetings, and faculty and staff searches.
Develop and produce high-quality departmental newsletters, videos, and promotional materials. Communicate with CSE stakeholders—including prospective and current students, alumni, and the broader community—through social media and other communication channels.
Produce professional PowerPoint presentations.
Create infographics from Excel and other data sources.
Order supplies for the CSE department office and faculty as needed.
Create, maintain, research and update temporarily hiring list.
Handle follow up on outstanding issues. Assist in purchases, requisitions, and payment requests.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to produce websites, videos, presentations and infographics.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience.
Detail oriented.
Highly organized.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Excellent writing and verbal skills.
Experience in website design and management; video production (both filming and editing), design of infographics for use in reports and promotional purposes; and other forms of digital and print communication as well as experience developing and implementing events and training programs.
Knowledge of higher education processes and University systems.
Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
Have strong writing and interpersonal communication skills.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$22.51Target Compensation Minimum:
$15.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
