The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Louisville invites applications for a full-time Instructor position starting February 1, 2025. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator with a passion for teaching and a commitment to excellence in bioengineering education.
Position Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate bioengineering courses, including but not limited to:
Rehabilitation Engineering
Biomedical Device Design
Introduction to Bioengineering
Advanced Biomaterials
Advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) in Bioengineering
Develop and deliver innovative, inclusive, and engaging course materials.
Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department’s academic programs.
Required Qualifications
A PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field by the start date of February 1, 2025.
Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering or related disciplines.
Proficiency in modern teaching methodologies, including the use of digital and interactive learning tools.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry or research experience related to bioengineering fields.
Experience with curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
Familiarity with advanced computational tools and technologies used in bioengineering education and practice.
