The Department of Special Education welcomes applications for part-time adjunct instructor positions available January 2026.Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U. S. without employer sponsorship.
Instructors are needed to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Special Education (e. g., mild, intense, deaf/hard of hearing)
Both on campus and online courses are available.
What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Position Description:
Adjunct instructors will teach courses related to specialty areas (e.g., mild, intense, deaf/hard of hearing) within special education. Faculty will be responsible for teaching scheduled courses on a weekly basis, grading, providing quality feedback on assignments, posting regular office hours, and responding to students in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Adjuncts teaching undergraduate courses in special education have a Masters degree in special education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
Adjuncts teaching graduate level courses must have a doctoral degree in special education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of teaching experience in K-12 schools working directly with students with disabilities.
Current teacher licensure.
