Pharmacy Material Coordinator

As a Pharmacy Material Coordinator, you will procure and maintain pharmaceutical supply inventories, the distribution of stock, updating all systems to ensure prompt payments to vendors, and accurate documentation of inventory management.

A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend shifts from 12:00am - 11:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Ensure continuous supplies are maintained with little or no interruption.

• Implement, manage, and maintain inventory systems to order, control, expedite, and inventory supplies to enhance the fiscal management of the department.

• Monitor reports and available publications for insight into shortages and determine appropriate substitute items.

• Provide information to technicians while carrying out inventory control function.

• Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationship with vendor representatives and conduct business according to established principles and guidelines.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Associate's degree or high school diploma/GED and three years of experience in a similar role.

• Work history of using a computer.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

• Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required within 6 months upon hire.
