Program Manager, Global Sustainability, GVM
Job Description
The Global Vendor Management (GVM) Program works with HQ senior leadership from a highly selective group of global Amazon vendors, to support the growth of our mutual business and total relationship success across worldwide Amazon. We are a global strategic business development team, seeking a customer-obsessed individual with excellent business judgement, to build collaborative relationships with vendor executives and Amazon teams across all Amazon countries focusing on Sustainability.
As a Program Manager, Global Sustainability, you will own the Sustainability vendor engagement strategy, working alongside Sustainability experts to influence product roadmaps and innovation across external and internal teams, driving Sustainable initiatives with Amazon’s largest vendors, and ensuring processes and ongoing mechanisms are scalable to deliver a best-in-class Sustainable experience for customers around the world. A successful candidate in this role is a storyteller, one with a passion for sustainability and a knack for taking complex concepts and turning them into easily understood campaigns.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement Sustainability initiatives and goals for vendors worldwide.
- Work with senior leadership at our largest vendors to build and drive Sustainable initiatives (such as sustainable shopping and sustainable product development).
- Lead the vendor facing education of Amazon’s Sustainability work.
- Develop, build and maintain positive relationships with internal program teams.
- Collaborate closely with Amazon’s International Expansions and Global Vendor Management teams.
- Create operational metrics, track and manage delivery timelines, and communicate program status to internal stakeholders.
- Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions.
- Engage cross-functionally to execute test and learn plans to drive engagement and support key business initiatives in a scalable way.
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
