Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain Innovations
Job Description
Amazon's Global Supply Chain (GSC) is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence for the Supply Chain Innovations (SCI) team. SCI plays an important role in defining and shaping Amazon's inbound supply chain's long-term strategy. The team is responsible for the incubation and execution of highly visible supply chain projects across low-cost storage, bulk fulfillment, inbound cross-docks, fast-deploy fulfillment, and network design and optimization. Their solutions address the needs of the inbound network in order to meet the speed, cost, and resiliency demands of Amazon's customers.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will lead and develop a team of BIEs to accomplish their respective business team's goals and charters. You will learn the ins and outs of all facets of Amazon supply chain operations and systems, and be a trusted partner to teams by sharing data-driven insights and actions based on deep understanding of the business. You will hire and develop talents to deliver strong results ranging from reporting, automated insight generation, advanced analytics, comprehensive inbound datasets, at standards that raise the bar for the rest of the organization.

Supply Chain Innovations (SCI) identify, evaluate, and lead Inbound Supply Chain initiatives, and scale them to improve end to end cost, speed, and network resiliency. For initiatives with high impact and broad scope with no clear line of ownership, we provide leadership to develop, trial, and scale solutions to full network implementation
- Experience hiring and leading a high-performance team
- Experience managing analytics, data science or technology teams, with a product or insight focus
- Experience with AWS data warehouse and reporting technologies like Redshift, Athena, S3, etc.
- Experience working with finance organizations and financial data
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data sciences, or related field
- Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience in communications to senior leadership such as directors and vice presidents within the leadership team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel- Experience hiring and leading a high-performance team
- Experience managing analytics, data science or technology teams, with a product or insight focus
- Experience with AWS data warehouse and reporting technologies like Redshift, Athena, S3, etc.
- Experience working with finance organizations and financial data
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data sciences, or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of product experimentation (A/B testing)- Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience in communications to senior leadership such as directors and vice presidents within the leadership team
