This position is part of TCS IoT and Digital Engineering horizontal business unit to drive the growth of engineering services for major Utility clients in North America. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of industry experience shaping proposals, building strong client relationships, and drive solution-based sales while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create business opportunities and enhance value for Utility clients.
Key responsibilities:
• Bring the company’s engineering services value to major Utility customers, including Electric & Gas Transmission & Distribution, Power Generation, and Renewable Energy clients in North America.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to proactively shape proposals based on customer requirements.
• Present, promote, and sell IoT and Engineering services to existing and prospective customers.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with prospects and client team members.
• Build strong client relationships by understanding client needs and jointly identifying their biggest engineering challenges and preferences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote engineering services and solutions, driving new business opportunities.
• Carry out market analysis and lead business planning and strategic sales activities. Track sales, and report status updates.
• Closely monitor client engagement levels, support business reviews, and implement measures to gain traction with clients.
• Actively drive awareness of IoT & Engineering solutions with targeted clients - tradeshows, research-led thought leadership, client roadshows and workshops, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
• Around 12 years of experience working with Utility customers for professional services and engineering deployments.
• Familiarity with IT/OT systems used by utilities such as SCADA, ADMS/DMS, AMI, Smart Metering, DERMS, GIS, Asset Management, and Mobile Workforce Management.
• 12+ years of industry experience in engineering and design services.
• Strong background in problem-solving and solution design, particularly in Digital Engineering, IoT, Cloud, and Analytics, IT/OT.
• Ability to write specifications based on customer requirements.
• Experience working with Electric & Gas Utility customers.
• Industry experience in domains such as Plant Operations, Grid Operations, Pipeline Operations, Energy Storage, Wind & Solar Plant Operations, Work & Asset Management, Field Services Management, etc.
• Independently scoped and solutioned projects valued around $5-10 million in engineering services and solution sales.
• Track record of consultative, trusted relationships with strong client references over 5+ years.
• Ability to build client relationships and maintain a strong client network in the Utility domain.
• Experience in developing sales plans for a customer portfolio and individual Account Plans.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
Location: Anywhere in US
Salary Range: $141,960-$196,040 a year
