Amazon's Traffic Engineering organization builds innovative managed compute and networking solutions that empower Amazon Software Engineers to build and operate services for Amazon’s customers that are secure, highly available, and easy to scale. As the Sr. Product Manager - Technical for Edge Link, you will have the unique opportunity to define the product strategy and roadmap for these critical solutions. In this high-visibility role you'll enjoy exceptional autonomy and the freedom to shape the strategic direction of the product, make key decisions, and drive execution across the entire lifecycle. You'll work on technically sophisticated, mission-critical systems that power Amazon's vast ecosystem, leaving a lasting mark on the company and its customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and opportunities in the edge computing landscape.
- Define the long-term product vision and strategy for Edge Compute services, aligning with the overall Amazon Stores' business objectives and technology roadmap.
- Develop a comprehensive product roadmap that prioritizes initiatives based on technical feasibility considering Amazon's complex distributed graph of services, and business impact for Amazon customers.
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate the product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and technical specifications, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality, customer-centric features.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
