Sports Strategy Principal, Prime Video Sports
Job Description
We are looking for a strategic, creative, and analytical candidate who can help develop and drive Amazon's US Sports strategy. The Sports Team within Prime Video brings selection of live and on demand sports content to Amazon customers, including NFL Thursday Night Football, the NBA/WNBA, NASCAR, and more. The core part of this role will be helping identify and evaluate new content opportunities to bring to Prime Video Sports.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven thinker who is comfortable and enjoys solving problems with ambiguity. This individual will be comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working with stakeholders across different areas of Amazon (including, but not limited to partnerships, economics, finance, marketing, research, and production). This candidate will need to use strategic thinking and stakeholder management to find the best opportunities for PV moving forward.
Key job responsibilities
• Works cross-functionally across sports, finance, and other areas of the organization to propose new deals with different sports and media entities; including structuring of deals, valuation, package improvements, etc.
• Collaborate with Finance and Partnerships to build models during evaluation of potential sports opportunities
• Lead deep-dive analyses around sports fans, content types, distribution methods, and more to inform our go-forward US Strategy
• Perform extensive competitive benchmarking analyses, and identify and elevate noteworthy trends for a senior audience
About the team
The Prime Video Sports Strategy, Finance, and Research team leads analysis on who our current and potential sports customers are and what value they are bringing to Amazon.
- -8+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, and/or Strategy at a major Media, Sports, or Entertainment company. At least 4 years must be in Media or Sports directly.
- -Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions Candidates must be highly proficient in excel
- Master of Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience at a Streaming company
- Experience working with Nielsen or similar viewership data

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $132,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $218,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- -8+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, and/or Strategy at a major Media, Sports, or Entertainment company. At least 4 years must be in Media or Sports directly.
