Summary
The Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine, is pleased to announce vacancies for an epileptologist at Texas Children's Hospital Main Campus. The academic appointment at Assistant Professor (tenure track), will be in the Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience of the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine.
As a member of the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, our Level 4 program includes a 12 bed EMU as well as MEG, PET, SPECT and TMS services. Our hospitals located in Houston Texas provide Pediatric Emergency Centers staffed by physicians who are board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; acute care inpatient units staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists; and intensive care units staffed by Pediatric Critical Care specialists. With a proposed clinical effort of 100%, this junior level faculty member will be located at the Main Campus. This candidate will assist with the inpatient epilepsy services, the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, the continuous EEG service, Epilepsy fellow's clinic, night call and reducing our wait list of patients for Epilepsy. Collaboration with neurosurgery and associated research expected. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
Position Qualifications:
• Minimum Education: M.D. or equivalent.
• Minimum Certification/Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board; obtainable upon hire offer
• Board certified/eligible in Child Neurology and Board Certified/eligible in Clinical Neurophysiology and/or Epilepsy
