As Respiratory Supervisor II on this team, you will oversee your designated Respiratory Care Unit, ensuring caregivers perform the exceptional work for which our hospitals are renowned. You will focus on essential management tasks, such as performance evaluations, budget reviews, policy updates and regulatory compliance, to drive our enterprise forward in delivering world-class, unmatched healthcare. In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care inadditionalareas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.
A caregiver in this position works three day/evening rotating 12-hour variable shifts.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Oversee anddirectall activitiesregardingRespiratoryTherapy personnel.
- Assistwith the development of employee schedules,maintainemployeerecordsand ensureaccuratetimekeeping.
- Assistwith employee performance evaluations andgivesappropriate feedback.
- Assiststaff withidentifyingandutilizinglearning resources available within the hospital/community.
- Assistwith the development of an ongoing program of orientation,trainingand education for new employees and students.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of a performance improvement program.
- Take measures to continuously improve the quality of services delivered.
- Participate in the writing, reviewing, and updating of the Respiratory Therapy policies and procedures.
- Assistwith the development of the departmental budget, ensuring the availability of equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies andstatelaw requirements.
- Participate in long-term strategic planning and marketing of department services.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduateof an accredited Respiratory TherapyProgram
- Associate'sDegree
- Registration as aRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Licensed by the Ohio Board for Respiratory Care (RCP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)andPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)CertificationsthroughtheAmerican Heart Association (AHA)OR American Red Crossand Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS)CertificationthroughtheNBRCand three years of experiencein a neonatal/pediatric area(at sites whereappropriate)
- Three years of experience in critical care, includingleadership,educationand/or research activities
- Neonatal/Pediatric experience (at sites whereappropriate)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor'sDegree
Physical Requirements:
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
- May require sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
