A caregiver in this position worksdays,6:30am—3:30pm withrotational weekends and holidayrequirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Regularly inspect, diagnose,repairand perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenicfreezersand rooftop heating/cooling units.
Troubleshoot andrepairelectrical/electronic controls, solid statemicroprocessorsand system alarms.
Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate andadjustrefrigerant charges.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED
Stateof Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service
Three years of experience as a commercial/residentialair conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate,Utilities man, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered
Formalvocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to1year of experience
Canread electricschematicdiagrams
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program
Work experience in a hospital setting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to inspect equipment
Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
Ability to distinguish color
Ability to climb ladders
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $25.13
Maximum hourly: $38.33
