🚚 Keep Our Hospital Moving

  • Transport supplies, equipment, and critical materials—including gas cylinders, liquid oxygen, lab specimens, blood components, x‑ray film, and medical records—throughout the hospital and nearby facilities.

📦 Receive & Distribute Essential Supplies

  • Unload delivery trucks, verify incoming orders, and distribute supplies to inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and procedural areas.

📊 Maintain Accurate Inventory

  • Replenish bedside carts, overhead cabinets, and OR supplies.

  • Rotate stock, remove overstock, perform cycle counts, and check for expired items.

  • Maintain scale accuracy to ensure precise automated ordering.

🧹 Keep Supply Areas Clean & Compliant

  • Organize and maintain supply rooms to meet Joint Commission standards.

  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as dusting bins and ensuring overall cleanliness.

💻 Use Modern Inventory Technology

  • Work with systems like Workday MMIS, Par Excellence, and WD Mobile to:

    • Process stock and non-stock orders

    • Resolve discrepancies

    • Manage recalls and returns

🤝 Collaborate & Improve

  • Partner with clinical and supply chain teams to optimize par levels and storage solutions.

  • Support standardization efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.

🛠️ Support Equipment Readiness

  • Clean patient care equipment per department guidelines.

  • Report defective equipment or supply shortages promptly.

🌱 Grow & Support Others

  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members.

  • Participate in department committees, quality improvement projects, and organizational change efforts.

📝 Ensure Accurate Documentation

  • Record materials received, correct inventory counts, and complete requisition forms.

Legacy Responsibilities

  • Use technology effectively: email, intranet resources, pagers, and phones.

  • Follow downtime procedures when needed.

  • Participate in on‑call rotations to support staffing needs (may apply to casual employees).

What You Bring

🎓 Education

  • High school diploma, GED, or HSED required.

💼 Experience

  • Experience with automated Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) preferred.

🧠 Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • Experience with MMIS platforms such as Workday MMIS or Par Excellence strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Flexibility to participate in on‑call coverage as needed.
