The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The Service Line Administrator is a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource for one (1) service line across multiple locations. This role assists with projects, reviews and implement policy changes and identifies operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.
Position Summary
Responsible for developing long-term plans to accomplish the strategic initiatives of the organization; participates and leads the strategic development and planning activities consistent with the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the James. Provides leadership in the development of the vision, strategic direction, process improvement, compliance, and innovative initiatives for the assigned service line system wide. Provides directions to integrate services between all business units and the service line and works with senior leadership to coordinate and complete a variety of projects to ensure delivery of value-added products and services for assigned service line. Implements
strategies to enhance local, regional, and national projects and programs for the James through the cultivation of external opportunities and to build services and programs as components of the James. Collaborate with the medical director(s), outreach, marketing, and communication
departments to develop and implement appropriate communication strategies for the primary, secondary, and regional markets. Directs the administrative functions for the service line and acts as the direct supervisor for employees that work under the SLA purview. Reports directly
to a Service Line Administrator level M4, S5 or S6. Represents The James at local, regional, and national levels as the liaison between the James and various organizations, agencies, and professional organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 4 years of relevant experience required.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Oncology and ambulatory care administrative experience preferred. Experience with collective bargaining and labor relations preferred.
