Job Description:

Johnson 2 is a30 bedsurgical adult unit. The average length of stay on J2 is 3.4 days with an average daily census of 22 patients.The majority ofadmissions to J2 are from the postoperative anesthesia care unit (PACU), followed by admissions from the emergency department who have an orthopedic,surgicalor gastrointestinal diagnosis. There are 12 private rooms and 9 semi-private rooms that accommodate two patients each.

Patient Population J2generally acceptspatients 18 years of age and older with surgical conditions. Patients cared for on J2 range in age from young adult to geriatric. Patients aregenerally admittedto the surgical service, or to a hospitalist with the surgeon as consultant.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Team, you willbe responsible forthe following:

  • Complete assessments, administermedications/treatments,observespatients progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to developan optimalhealth care strategy plan for each patient

  • Support and educate patients and their loves ones to achievemaximumoutcomes

Requirements:

  • BSN preferred

  • MA RN Required

  • BLS(AHA)required

  • Current experience on a post- operativemedical surgicalunit preferred

Pay Range:

$37.00 - $84.71

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms ofthe applicable collective bargainingagreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
