The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics. The school is seeking an individual who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school’s business programs.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Department: School of Business and Economics
Full-Time: 100% appointment, Instructional Academic Staff, Terminal 9-month Appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year, one vacancy
Job Responsibilities:
- Instruction of 12 credits or their equivalent per semester in on-campus Economics courses, primarily in Macroeconomics.
- Committed to building community among students and faculty within SBE and the university.
- This position requires an on-campus presence.
Other Duties:
- Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Earned Master’s degree or ABD status in Economics
- Instructor of record for at least one semester teaching Economics in-person at the university level.

Desirable Qualifications:
- ABD status or completed PhD in Economics
- At least two years of classroom instruction at university level
- Experience using a variety of teaching methods in classroom
- Experience and commitment to continued professional development in best practices in teaching and learning
Compensation: Salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $82,000 annually.
