Athletics | Strength and ConditioningJob Description
Serves as strength and conditioning coach for a the men's basketball program. Supervises and instructs student athletes and coaches in all facets of weight training, conditioning, and nutrition. Works with coaching staffs to incorporate strength and conditioning program into the development and welfare of student athletes. Runs and maintains computer programs and test result analysis, develops and maintains student athlete records and monitors progress of training programs. Assists in supervision of graduate students and interns, and supervision and maintenance of weight room facilities.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in physical education
Additional Education Desired
Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications
Experience developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for men's and women's basketball programs required; ability to work with a diverse population and provide a supportive and motivating environment for student athletes; knowledge and experience working with PC computer applications in a windows environment desired; experience with spreadsheet applications desired.
