Overview
The Radiology Technician Limited-Certified Medical Assistant performs radiographic examinations and provides patient care within the limited scope defined by the State Department of Health Professions. Theyare responsible forsafely obtaining diagnostic X-ray images, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring proper positioning, equipment use, and radiation safety while supporting clinical evaluation by the provider. Radiology examinations performed are limited to scope of practice outlined by State Department of Health Professions regulations on Limited Radiologic Technologists. Additionally,this rolesupports patient care and performs administrative and clinicaltasks as aCertifiedMedical Assistant as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Certification/Licensure
Medical Assisting certification (Required)
Limited Radiologic Technician licensure (if license is required in the state of practice)
