The 3W Oncology Unit specializes in the management and treatment of various forms of cancer. As Team Center Coordinator, you will provide top-quality customer service to patients,familiesand visitors to promote and support the best healthcare experience possible. You will perform various administrative and clerical duties to ensure efficient operational flow in your department while offering direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 7:30PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.

• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.

• Assistwith processing patient admissions,transfersand discharges.

• Assistpatients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.

• Assemble andmaintainpatient medical records and other documents related to patient care.

• Assistwith unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call systems, portable phones,WOWsand other unit devices.

• Provide orassistwith basic patient care activities, such as taking vital signs and weights, personal care, activities of daily living, patient transfers and transports, pulse oximetry and point of care testing.

• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical,mentalor emotional condition to an RN.

• Assistwith keeping patient rooms clean & orderly.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

• One year of recent, full-time experience in patient care or customer service ORadditionaleducation/training OR current nursing student with at least one completed clinical rotation as part of an accredited Nursing Program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W)or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)

• Experience with typing, computertrainingor equivalent coursework

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Microsoft Office experience

• One year of Clinical Technician experience
