City of Hope’s Office of Philanthropy plays a critical role in advancing life-saving research, exceptional patient care, and educational initiatives through philanthropic support. The Donor Communications and Experience Coordinator contributes to this mission by supporting core programs and processes that drive collaboration, operational excellence, and donor engagement. This role provides administrative and project support to the Donor Relations & Philanthropy Marketing Communications & Experience team, helping to execute stewardship initiatives, manage communications, support donor-related activities, and ensure efficient day-to-day operations within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Philanthropy Marketing Communications & Experience team in a fast-paced environment
- Support donor relations, stewardship activities, and special correspondence programs
- Track projects, communications, and reports to ensure timely execution and completion
- Format and prepare documents, presentations, and donor-facing materials
- Coordinate meetings, events, scheduling, and follow-up on action items for leadership
- Manage vendor invoices, supplies, and administrative processes
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, faculty, and stakeholders
- Utilize CRM systems to support donor-related processes and track engagement activities
- Ensure high-quality proofreading and review of communications and materials
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal partners, donors, and external stakeholders
Your qualifications should include:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of administrative experience, ideally with exposure to fundraising or development environments
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience supporting executives and interacting with senior-level stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and document preparation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience working with CRM or fundraising databases preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $27.88 - $43.22 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
