The Cardiology Technician II is an experienced specialist responsible for performing a wide range of non-ultrasound cardiac diagnostic studies, including EKGs, rhythm strips, stress tests, perfusion stress tests, Holter monitoring, and pacemaker checks. This role conducts diagnostic procedures such as 12-lead EKGs, 24-hour Holter monitor application and scanning, and telephonic pacemaker evaluations, while ensuring accurate patient identification and strict adherence to infection control protocols. The Cardiology Technician II also supports physicians during procedures, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Responsible for reporting critical values to Physician and/or RN. Provides timely STAT EKG as ordered. Understands the importance of timely clinical trials EKGs.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patient related to procedure being performed.
Responsible for proper cleaning of equipment and following infection control policy and procedures. Maintains inventory control, storage, and routine supplies in department.
Responsible for upkeep of the MUSE system and ensure Holter monitoring scanning is done timely.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Your qualifications should include:
High School or equivalent
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
3 years as Cardiology Technician
EKG Certification
BLS through the American Heart Association

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.77 - $49.15 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
