The successful candidate:
***Hours: must be available/flexible between 7:30AM-4:30PM MST (AZ time). Oncology experience highly preferred!***
The New Patient Abstractor abstracts and summarizes new patient charts, serves as a point of contact for moderately complex charts, and working within pre-defined methods, tactics and procedures to impact department goals.
The overall standard is accurate completion of new patient abstracts prior to the initial appointment and serving as a resource with in-depth and broad knowledge on patient charts. The New Patient Abstractor is expected to partner with Intake leadership to understand the department and corporate strategy and operating objectives.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Minimum Experience: minimum 2-3 years of experience in the medical field, preferably oncology.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $22.45 - $36.98 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
