We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Department of Translational Research & Cellular Therapeutics. This group is internationally recognized for its pioneering research in diabetes, immunology, stem cell biology, and cellular therapeutics. Our multidisciplinary research programs aim to translate scientific discoveries into innovative therapies that improve the lives of patients with diabetes and other chronic diseases.

You will join a multidisciplinary laboratory focused on developing novel PET imaging probes and radiopharmaceuticals for diabetes, immunology, and cancer. The current research being done in the lab includes radiochemistry, molecular imaging, cell-based studies, and preclinical PET/CT imaging to develop and evaluate targeted molecular imaging agents for translational research. You will work closely with investigators from multiple disciplines in a collaborative research environment and contribute to projects with strong translational potential.

As a successful candidate you will:

· Develop and evaluate novel PET imaging probes or radiopharmaceuticals for diabetes, immunology, and cancer.

· Perform in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate molecular imaging agents.

· Conduct cell culture, molecular biology, and small-animal PET/CT imaging studies as appropriate.

· Analyze experimental and imaging data and prepare manuscripts, grant applications, and scientific presentations.

· Collaborate with multidisciplinary investigators to advance translational molecular imaging research.

Your qualifications should include:

· Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Molecular Imaging, or related field.

· Experience in one or more of the following areas: molecular imaging, radiochemistry, organic synthesis, cell biology, cell culture, molecular biology, immunology, or related biomedical research.

· Experience in PET radiochemistry or molecular imaging and/or preclinical imaging (PET/CT) and animal models is preferred

· A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.25 - $37.82 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
